Tinky winky, Dipsy, La-La, and Poe. They were cute. They were lovable. They were strangely named. I taught a student this week who had the same name as one of the Teletubbies! (I’ll leave it up to your imaginations; or, if your imagination needs verification, I will post it as a comment). As a substitute teacher, I have come across many, MANY strange names before; but, really! What were her parents thinking?!?

If I HAD to name one of my children after the teletubbies, I would choose LaLa as opposed to Tinky Winky, Dipsy, or Poe…
But when you can choose NOT to name your children after teletubbies…

My goodness, Lala! I hope they were at least a happy individual despite the Teletubby name.
The Teletubby is Po, like the Italian river. thankfully, my daughter has passed from “Teletubbies” into “Dragon Tales and I no longer have to see them daily. If I had to, I’d go with Po myself and insist it’s for the River!

I’m hoping that the kid has a normal (or at least “normal-esque”) middle name that she can choose to go by if she feels so inclined. Suppose her name is Lala Deedee?
