Well, I’ve finally gotten around to writting about our trip to Lake Tahoe. Matt and I flew down and joined Kathleen, James, Aaron, Lauren, and some of Kathleen’s family at a condo in Lake Tahoe durring the first weekend in October. First of all, we tried to get dinner at the airport while we waited for our flight, but the only choice was Wendy’s. Wendy’s should be a great restaurant, but I have never gone there and gotten what I ordered on the first try. This time, it took FOUR tries for them to get our order right. Not only that, but the woman who “helped” us was really rude and angry. I guess I’d be angry, too, if I worked at a Wendy’s. Well, that was the final straw in a long line of wrong order straws and I will never go to Wendy’s again (unless I am dying and there is no other possible noroushment. I would rather eat a raw onion for dinner, and those of you who know me well know that I even pick the onions out of my chili).
We arrived in Reno and James and Aaron picked us up. On Friday, we spent HOURS in a car driving to Yosemite National Park. It was pretty cool though:
The next day, we spent some time in Jackson, California (where the Kammeyers lived for a few years). We saw the sights and some people that the Kammeyer’s were friends with. My favorite part, though, was when we walked through down town and went to this AWESOME used bookstore.
On Sunday, we took a drive around Take Tahoe and stopped by a place called Emerald Bay. It is absolutely beautiful:
We thought we would be able to see General Conference (the Sunday Sessions), but it wasn’t on TV or any radio stations that we could find. We were a little disappointed but we can always watch it on the internet! We flew home (without any dramatic airport events), glad we went but even more glad to have a vacation from our vacation!

No matter how long we are married, we hope to always remain newlyweds. We started this blog to keep a record of the funny and exciting things that happen in our lives. We hope that you enjoy it and look forward to hearing your thoughts.
