We just finished a wonderful weekend full of family and fun. James and Kathleen came in on Wednesday night and stayed with us. For Valentine’s Day, James, Kathleen, Aaron, Lauren, Matt, and I went through a session at the Salt Lake Temple. Then, Aaron and Lauren went out for a dinner for two and the rest of us decided to go to Denny’s.
On Friday, my little sister, Angel, joined the crowd and everyone came to my classroom and participated in a project that my class was working on about “the Promises of the Constitution.” We went and toured the new Hinckley Alumni Building on campus and took a few pictures. Next, we went to investigate an ice creamery called “Sub Zero” where they make and freeze the ice cream right in front of you using liquid nitrogen. Then we had dinner out at one of my favorite Provo restaurants–Bombay House. They have a dish called “Raj’s Chicken” there that you can’t get anywhere else–literally; they invented it and won’t give the recipe to anyone else. It is my favorite kind of Indian food.
We went all over the place on Saturday, first visiting Aunt Mary, then over to Salt Lake where we spent some time poking around a few museums. When we headed back to Provo, we spent some time glazing ceramics at a place called “Color Me Mine.” We ate dinner at a Sushi Restaurant to celebrate James’ 50th birthday, then headed over to Aaron and Lauren’s to watch a movie.
On Sunday, we went to Sacrament Meeting with Aaron and Lauren, then had dinner at their house and played games. What a whirlwind vacation, but, oh so much fun!
No matter how long we are married, we hope to always remain newlyweds. We started this blog to keep a record of the funny and exciting things that happen in our lives. We hope that you enjoy it and look forward to hearing your thoughts.
